s1859_9 Furred Winter Shoe, 1859 ------------------------ ...particularly nice for sleighing, or other riding in winter. If desired it can be made large enough to wear over the other shoe. If home-made, a cork sole might be substituted for a leather one. The upper part of the shoe should be made of cloth, and lined with thick canton-flannel. The shoe may be trimmed with any kind of fur around the top, and is fastened at the sides with bands of elastic.
